 McGWIRE HITS NO. 62:                                                           
 ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Cardinals slugger Mark McGwire made baseball history     
 Tuesday night with his 62nd homer of the season, breaking the mark of 61 set by
 Roger Maris in 1961. McGwire hit a line drive to left field off Chicago Cubs   
 starter Steve Trachsel in the fourth inning to eclipse one of the storied      
 records in sports history. The historic homer came in Game 145 of the          
 Cardinals' season.
