Thunderstorms will blossom across the Plains Thursday as highs top out 
in the 80s to around 90 degrees. Some of the storms may be strong 
to severe during the afternoon hours. 
Additional storms are also possible in the Mississippi Valley region, 
bringing the threat of heavy rain.
