野茂がドジャーズからメッツへの移籍が報道されていました。
ヤンキーズで今シーズンは４敗しています。
メッツでのデビュー戦でも敗戦投手になってしまいました。

元同僚の吉井投手（現在４勝）もいる球団でもあるし、ドジャーズでの女房役ピアッツア
捕手も移籍したばかりでいることだし、以前ロッテ・オリオンズの監督で
ロッテを２位にした実績のある現メッツのバレンタイン監督が云っているよう
に「これから」ですよね。

伊良部投手は今年は６勝１敗で防御率ランキングはトップと活躍しています。
昨年は、負けが増えると日本の報道陣もさんざんに取り扱いましたが、負けて
も勝ってももっと暖かく応援してあげたいものです。

誰にだって、好調な時もあれば不調なときもあるのですから・・・



METS TO START NOMO:                                               
NEW YORK - Heading to Game 1 of Hideo Nomo's baseball rebirth, the New
York Mets are looking past the right- hander's 2-7 record and 5.05 ERA. 
"This guy is a talent," says Mets pitching coach Bob Apodaca. 
The National League batted just .228 vs. Nomo when he was with the Dodgers 
and he had allowed only 57 hits and struck out 73 in 67 2/3 innings. 
Nomo's Los Angeles career, which began with the 1995 Rookie of the Year 
Award, ended with an 0-4 mark over his final six starts before last 
Thursday's trade. Those numbers don't concern New York manager Bobby Valentine, 
who says "I'm dealing with his record starting (now)."
