Millions of Americans remain out of touch Thursday
thanks to a satellite outage that rendered most pagers useless. 
Service was knocked out to an estimated 80 to 90 percent of the 
nation's 45 million beepers, and television and radio broadcasts were 
knocked off the air Tuesday night when a satellite owned by PanAmSat 
of Greenwich suddenly lost track of Earth.
It will take about a week to restore service.
