和製英語で Pocket Bell.
英語では、beeper. 韓国語では、その音から「ピーピー」だそうだ。
先日、中国語講座を見ていて中国語では BP机 （ビー・ピー・ジー）だと知った。

Handy Phone とか Portable Phone を使いたいところだが、
Cellular Phone か Mobile Phone が正式な英語。
アメリカ人は Cellular Phone を Cell-Phone といっている。
あとで分かった（ページ62）ことですが、portable phone も使うそうです。
