TEXAS KIDS TO GET SCHOOL VOUCHERS:                                 
For the first time, full-tuition vouchers are being provided to an
entire public school district, enabling nearly 14,000 students in one of
San Antonio's poorest school areas to go to private school. The
Children's Educational Opportunity Foundation said it will provide $5
million annually for 10 years for students 
in the Edgewood School District to go to a school of their choice. 
Voucher opponents protested immediately, claiming the program won't help
all the district's poor children and that it is merely a gimmick to
pressure Texas lawmakers into passing a state- funded school voucher
plan.

児童教育機会基金（協会）は１０年間にわたり年間約６億円を自分の選択で学校
に行くEDGEWOOD 学区の学生に準備すると発表した。
奨励金反対派はこのプログラムは全地区の貧しい子供たちが対象になっていない
し、単にテキサス州議会議員が州の学費援助計画を通すためのプレッシャーのた
めの工作であると批判している。
