Continuing Tsuchiura-Ueno delays caused by defective signal cables The continuing delays on outbound trains on the Tsuchiura- Ueno Line are being caused by deteriorated signal cables running from Mito to Tsuchiura. While delays for inbound trains have generally been minimal, outbound service is operating 15-20 minutes late to the location of the inoperative signals. Those signals have forced slow train operation over long section of the outbound railroad between Mito and Tsuchiura. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this problem has caused.
