アメリカからの手紙で封筒に "RETURN SERVICE REQUESTED" とスタンプされていた。

どういう意味か聞いてみたら、このように答えてくれました。

Arima-san, I think it means that, if the addressee is not at the address
listed (ie, the person moved, or the sender had an incorrect address),
then please return the letter to the sender-- do not simply destroy the
letter.
